Paul V. Cummins is a native San Franciscan and graduated from Saint Ignatius High School in 1964.  Four years later, he graduated Magna Cum Laude from Gonzaga University.  Upon graduating from Hastings Law School in 1971, he passed the bar five months later and the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office immediately hired him.

Paul is a veteran courtroom attorney.  He has tried over 200 jury trials and thousands of preliminary hearings.  Judges recognize him as a skillful negotiator.  He retired after 34 years of service during which time he rose to Chief Assistant District Attorney.  In October 2005, he joined Pursley Law Firm's San Francisco office and will practice in workers’ compensation and subrogation, disability retirement, employment law and personal injury.
